La Plata County Republican County Assembly

The La Plata County Republican County Assembly will be held on Saturday, March 14, 2026, at the La Plata County Fairgrounds (2550 Main Ave, Durango).

Check-in: 4:30 p.m.
Assembly Begins: 6:00 p.m.

Only individuals elected as Delegates at their March 3 Precinct Caucus are eligible to attend and vote at the County Assembly.

At the County Assembly, Delegates will:

• Designate Republican candidates for county offices, including:
  County Commissioner District 1, County Clerk, County Treasurer, County Assessor, County Sheriff, County Surveyor, and County Coroner.
• Elect 28 higher Delegates and 28 alternates to represent La Plata County at the House District 59 Assembly, Congressional District 3 Assembly, and the Colorado State Republican Assembly.
• Vote on party resolutions that may advance to the Colorado Republican Party State Platform.

Note: County offices may be nominated from the floor at the County Assembly. Individuals interested in running for one of these positions may announce their candidacy at that time.
