La Plata County Fairgrounds
25th St. & Main Ave. | Durango, Colorado 81301
The La Plata County Fair is one of the best traditions in our community, and the La Plata County Republicans will once again host the “funnest” booth at the fair!
We are looking for volunteers to help during the fair week. Volunteers will help make popcorn, pass out candy, share candidate materials, and visit with residents and visitors who stop by the booth. It’s a great way to meet neighbors, support local candidates, and enjoy the fair atmosphere.
Whether you can help for a short shift or several hours, your time makes a difference. The fair brings together thousands of residents each year, and our booth is a welcoming place to connect with the community.
Volunteer shift coordination:
Holly Hott – (970) 749-5968
Vanessa Ruggles – (970) 799-2267
Please contact Holly or Vanessa to sign up for a shift.
Celebrating the La Plata County Fair
For more than 70 years, the La Plata County Fair has been a proud tradition celebrating the heritage, hard work, and community spirit that define our county. Each year the fair brings together families, farmers, ranchers, youth exhibitors, and visitors from across the region.
This year’s theme, “Growing from Generation to Generation,” honors the traditions that have been passed down through the years while celebrating the bright future of our community. From 4-H livestock exhibitions and rodeo events to carnival rides, local food vendors, and family activities, the fair offers something for everyone.
The La Plata County Fair is more than just an event—it is a celebration of our shared history and the people who make this community special.
We hope to see you at the fair!
